The Matany hospital is a non profit private institution. It belongs to the Catholic diocese
of Moroto, it is recognized by the Uganda State and it complies with sanitary policy of the State in co-operation with the sanitary authorities of its District (Moroto).The hospital services are: hospitalize, test laboratory, radiology and ecography
services, medical services for external patients, community health care activities, professional nurses and matrons school. The hospital is also a center of clinical stages for the Makerere Public Health University of Kampala and of the University of Mbarara.The hospital management cost for the 1999/2000 financial year has exceeded
1,000,000,000 Ugandan shilling (1 US dollar = 1150 Ugandan shillings).
